Kenza Ben Azouz is a decolonial feminist trained in social anthropology of development (SOAS), a qualitative researcher specialised in GBV, and a yoga teacher and dance practitioner. Raised in Tunisia, her work explores race, gender, embodiment, erotic force (Lorde-inspired), and collectivity.
My project proposes an exploration of Afro-Arab women of the diaspora in Marseille and their relationships to their bodies, sensuality, and desires, shaped by growing up, living in, or moving to France. Through intimate and safe conversations and collective storytelling, I aim to gather and publish short, reflective narratives centred on pleasure, intimacy, shame, healing, and self-connection. The project envisions a collection of short stories written from women’s own perspectives, creating a counter-archive that resists stereotypes and opens space for joy, complexity, and self-defined relationships to sensuality and erotic knowledge.
