The title of this project is "Pleasure, Masculinity, and Trans in the Caribbean. In the first half of this project, we would have a guided conversation with folks from lived experience, either sharing their own stories or experiences they relate to. We aim to discuss what it means to be a trans masculine or a masculine-presenting lesbian in the Caribbean and explore the concept of pleasure. Following these conversations will be a short community documentary with consent from participants. This documentary aims to capture the real-life experiences of groups in the Caribbean who rarely get to speak openly about their bodies, desires, and how they experience pleasure. This project matters to challenge harmful narratives and center pleasure, autonomy, and joy.
