Clarisse plans to create a gamified sexuality education project through ‘Pleasure Cards’!
The lack of engaging and pleasure-centered sexuality education materials contributes to limited knowledge and understanding among young people regarding sexual pleasure, consent, and sexual and reproductive health. Conventional educational approaches often fail to capture the attention and interest of youth, leading to disengagement and ineffective learning outcomes. The project aims to target young people aged 15-24 in Rwanda, encompassing students in schools, universities, and marginalized communities. By focusing on interactive and gamified learning methods, the project aims to appeal to a broad range of individuals, including both males and females. The project consists of the creation of a set of gamified "Pleasure Cards" that combine educational content with interactive game play. Each card would contain information and prompts related to sexual pleasure, consent, anatomy, contraception, healthy relationships, and communication skills. The cards would be designed to facilitate group discussions, self-reflection, and knowledge acquisition. Likewise, workshops would be conducted to train educators, peer educators and community leaders on how to effectively utilize the Pleasure Cards in educational settings.
